Citilog continues to advance security and incident detection through innovative video analysis technology. The recent addition of pedestrian detection, introduced last year, achieves new levels of accuracy when combined with deep learning.

To showcase the enhanced capabilities of artificial intelligence in improving analysis accuracy, we conducted a thorough comparison between the old and new systems.

At a designated site, a monodirectional 2 tubes tunnel, we conducted a parallel operation of both the legacy Citilog AID system and the latest version (CT-IM 2023R1) equipped with Deep Learning technology. This comparative analysis was conducted over an identical timeframe and utilized the same camera infrastructure, ensuring that both systems processed identical incidents.
 

In our performance audit conducted at the designated site, we observed a significant improvement in false alarm rates. With the previous system, we encountered an average of one false alarm per camera every three days, whereas with the Deep Learning-enabled system, this reduced to one false alarm per camera every ten days. Considering the tunnel’s deployment of 24 cameras, this translates to a threefold reduction in unnecessary disruptions for operators.

Another notable advantage of our system lies in the utilization of visible cameras over thermal ones. This choice greatly benefits operators as it provides clearer and more informative video footage.
