Citilog's software-based systems use existing video signals from any closed circuit TV (CCTV), fixed, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ), analog, IP or other cameras, thus requiring no new hardware or infrastructure additions. These video signals are fed into Citilog's video detection units that process video signals and create instant incident alarms or provide traffic data to enable future traffic planning. Being a proactive, rather than responsive-based, solution it provides true incident detection as events happen. Thus, it enables operators to respond in time to more positively affect incidents and therefore minimize human, resource or cost loss.
